SP GP9 page: ex T&NO GP9's GRIP'd with added gyralights:

 

GP9's built for the T&NO for freight service (T&NO 400-458) were built without gyralight packages. The dual service units (T&NO 240-249) were built with ash can oscilating headlights in addition to standard sealed beam headlights, although after 1965, these began to be removed. When rebuilt, most of these units had their headlight arrangement unaltered, however, some were outfitted with either a combination gyralight/UDE light, or a dual light gyralight and a single UDE light above the lowered sealed beam headlight. Units known to have been retrofitted as such are presented here. The three ex T&NO commute engines (SP 3000, 3001 & 3010) are not included here, as they were all outfitted with full gyralight packages when placed into commute service, prior to entering the GRIP program.
