T&NO 453

This loco was built in 2/1959 with EMD builder's number 25149. She was built as a freight engine. She was painted in newly standard grey and red or "bloody nose" colors and featured a single dual sealed beam headlight on each end.
She was assigned number SP 3657 in the 1965 system renumbering.
She entered the GRIP program and emerged as SP 3842 in 12/1976. She appears to have been one of the few former T&NO GP9's to receive a full SP style headlight package upon rebuild.
