T&NO 454

This loco was built in 2/1959 with EMD builder's number 25150. She was built as a freight engine. She was painted in newly standard grey and red or "bloody nose" colors and featured a single dual sealed beam headlight on each end.
She was assigned number SP 3658 in the 1965 system renumbering.
She entered the GRIP program and emerged as SP 3843 in 12/1976. She was one of the few former T&NO GP9's to receive a full SP style headlight package upon rebuild, however, the pictures here show that it was only to the front light package. Her rear light arrangement remained unchanged.
