PS 4785 ft3 Covered Hoppers
Pullman Standard was well known for their standard sized covered hopper cars of a variety of sizes. The 4785 ft3 3-bay covered hopper was produced for only a few years in the late 1960's and early 1970's in far fewer numbers than the vastly more numerous 4740 ft3 and 4750 ft3 designs. However, they remain a popular car amoung modelers.
Here I will try to present the history of these cars and various roads and private owners who bought them originally and as much of the later history as is availible.
