A roster of the B-100-81 class box cars is provided as follows:

These 50'-7" box cars were members of the B-70-81 class which had been rebuilt as part of the Golden West Service program. Their capacity was increased from 70 to 100 tons as part of that program. After their leases were up, they were relettered for their original SSW initials and numbers with little (or no) other exterior changes, retaining their Golden West Service paint and a growing amount of graffiti.
