EFCX 3001-3600								(to SP 291754-292322)

These 50'-6" box cars were built by PC&F in 1969. They featured 5116 ft3 capacity and double 8' Youngstown plug doors. They were transferred to SP, repainted and renumbered as above in 1978-79. They featured an interesting vent system for carrying paper pulp. Evidence of this can be seen by the boxy structures loacted at the ends of the sides. A cable system is used to open and close the vents. Thanks to Jim Eager for information on these cars.
