SP 3197-3199
These 3 units were purchased new by SP in 11/1974. They were purchased to supplement SP's commute fleet locomotives. They were numbered directly below the road's existing fleet of SDP45's. One unit, SP 3197, was one of three units (also a U25BE and an SSW SD45T-2) to be painted in special commemorative bicentennial paint to celebrate the nation's 200th birthday in the year 1976.
