Articulated and Drawbar-Coupled Flat Cars

A roster of the articulated and drawbar-coupled flat cars is provided as follows:

These cars consisted of pairs (and five) of articulated and drawbar-connected flats consisdered as one car.It is assumed that they were assembled by connecting pairs of existing flat cars, however, the F-140-3 class was purchased new in this configuration. Some were listed as being equipped with tie downs for the transport of farm implements and some were listed as having pedestals for handling containers. They were surely experimental and were the pre-cursors of the articulated double stack cars that SP and AC&F pioneered.
