A roster of the O-100-7 class tank cars is provided as follows:

These 50' tank cars were built by AC&F at Milton in 1974 to specification CSF-471 and featured 23,500 gal. capacity. While these cars may look very close to the MDC 50' tank car, I have been told that they are actually not.

For a while, it was thought that the first 10 cars were classed as O-100-6, but recent intel suggests that all 50 cars were classed as O-100-7. It is interresting to note that on the May 1974 cars, the class is stenciled on the bolster as "CLASS O-100-7." It is the only instance I know of where the word "CLASS" was included. Also, a member of this group was chosen as the prototype for a fuel tender program to be used with selected GP40-2 locomotive. It was painted in SP grey/red locomotive colors and numbered SP 700. It has been preserved at CSRM. I am not sure if it is on public display or not, but at least it was saved. The fuel tender experiment was apparently not deemed successful as it was only used on a few test runs and no others were so converted. In contrast, the BN made extensive use of diesel fuel tenders during the same era.
