These 52'-6" mill gondolas were built by Thrall in 2/1979 and featured 2244 ft3 capacity. These cars were either all built with covers for coil steel service, or converted as such shortly after being acquired, as the April 1982 lists all 50 cars as GBSR with 3-section covers and 4 bulkheads. Many appear to have lost their covers over the years.
