F-70-14 Flat Cars
A roster of the F-70-14 class flat cars is provided as follows:
SP 511100-511199 blt. 11=12/1959 ASF A-3 trucks SP 511200-511299 blt. 6/1960 National C-1 trucks
These 85'-0" flat cars were built as above by General American. They were skeleton type cars capable of loading trailers or containers and featured Clejan loaders (without side handrails) and Equipco handbrakes. They were originally painted black, however, they were probably repainted box car red at some point. They had W&K bi and tri-level auto racks added in 1960. The flats and racks were lengthened to 89'-0" at some point after 7/1963.
