B-70-57 Box Cars:
SP 693350-694229 Golden West numbers: GVSR 757000-757013
These 50'-6" insulated box cars were built by Pacific Car & Foundry in 1970-71. They featured 6'+8' Landis plug doors, Hydra Cushion underframes, load dividers and 4797 ft3 capacity.
It seems that at least two of these cars have escaped the scrapper's torch to find an easy retirement with the Pacific Locomotive Association near Sunol, CA.
Many thanks to new contributor Gilbert Leibfritz for this neat find. Note that car SP 693558 was shot nearly two years prior by Richard Brennan. It is always neat when different people send in shots of the same car.
