B-70-41 Box Cars:
A roster of the B-70-41 class box cars is provided as follows:
SP 698200-698499 Golden West numbers: GVSR 741000-741055 GVSR 741060-741091 GVSR 741110-741116
These 50'-6" insulated box cars were built by Pacific Car & Foundry in 1968-69. They featured a 6' and an 8' Yougstown plug door on each side, Hydra Cushion underframes and 4836 ft3 capacity.
Note that at least one car, SP 698218 , had its double plug doors replaced with a single 14' plug door. I wonder if any others were similarly retrofitted.
