A roster of the B-70-31 class box cars is provided as follows:

These 50'-6" box cars were all built to the same basic design by PC&F in 1966 and featured 5217 ft3 capacity and centered double 8' Superior sliding doors. Some of these cars were specially equipped with pallets for handling crude rubber. Many were later rebuilt into B-70-31R's.
