B-70-14 Box Cars

A roster of the B-70-14 class box cars is provided as follows:


	SP 220000-220499

These 50'-6" double-door box cars were all built to the same basic design by AC&F in 1962 and featured double 8' Youngstown sliding doors and 4952 ft3 capacity. They were NOT equipped with cushion underframes. The car shown below is one of 69 cars equipped with special pallets for handling crude rubber as per the April 1973 ORER (ref. NOTE 19<1>.) The same entry shows 16 cars with "special brake system and in captive service."
