These 50' box cars were built by PC&F as above. They featured offset, combination plug and sliding doors and 4963 ft3 capacity. As with class B-50-41, their reporting marks and number as well as the Southern Pacific name were placed on the right hand side of the car, however, the left hand side was left blank except for dimensional info, build date and class, as the Southern Pacific Lines circular herald had been dropped by the date of their manufacture.

Many of these cars had both general service numbers and assigned service numbers and would be moved between the two as the need for various assignments (usually auto parts) fluctuated.
