B-40-7 Box Cars
A roster of the B-40-7 class box cars is provided as follows:
GHSA 52250-52259 3-4/1923 2996 ft3 T&NO, Houston (to T&NO)
These 40' box cars were all built to the same basic design as above in 1923. They were basically identical to the B-40-6 class cars, except for an experimental cast steel underframe (with truss rods) from Commonwealth Steel Company. The experiment was not repeated.
