SP SDP45 page: Locomotives painted into the "Kodachrome" scheme

SP Kodachrome painted SDP45's:

The attempted merger of the SP and Santa Fe railroads brought the proposed red and yellow SPSF "Kodachrome" paint scheme applied to various locomotives (and a few cabooses) of each railroad in anticipation of the approval of the merger. That, of course, did not happen. There were 6 SP SD40's, all rebuilt units, so painted. They are presented as follows:
