SP SD45 page: Locomotives painted into the "Speed Lettering" scheme
The merger of the SP and Rio Grande railroads brought the Speed Lettered paint scheme, which was applied to various locomotives (and freight cars.) :
It appears that no unrebuilt SD45's were painted in SP speed lettering, only rebuilt units.
