This loco was built in 3/1969 with EMD construction number 7140-8.

She was rebuilt and renumbered to SP 7563 as part of the SP's GRIP program on xx/xx/198x. The most visible external changes at rebuild were the addition of a full set of Gyralights (Oscitrol type) to the rear of the unit and her new "kodachrome" colors as part of the attempted SPSF merger.
