SP locomotives repainted into the SP block scheme at Roseville, CA:
In late 1999, several years after the UP takeover of the SP, eleven SD40T-2 locomotives were repainted in Roseville, CA. There have been quite a few speculations regarding the reasoning behind the non-standard repaints. I will not get into that here, just list the locomotives involved and link them to their respective pages. They are presented as follows:
