SP GP40-2 page: Locomotive painted into the "Kodachrome" scheme

SP Kodachrome painted GP40-2:

The attempted merger of the SP and Santa Fe railroads brought the proposed red and yellow SPSF "Kodachrome" paint scheme applied to various locomotives (and a few cabooses) of each railroad in anticipation of the approval of the merger. That, of course, did not happen. There was only one SP GP40-2's so painted, SP 7672. She is presented as follows:
