These 70 ton, 2-bay covered hopper cars were built by PS (lot 8303E) in 4/1956 as PS-2's. They featured 2003 ft3 capacity. They were delivered in light grey paint with yellow lettering. The yellow lettering was quickly deemed to not provide sufficient contrast to the light grey paint and thus they were repainted with black lettering in short order.
