These cars were renumbered and repainted by UP after the merger of the SP into the UP from various classes of AC&F 4650 ft3, 100 ton covered hopper cars. The only outward changes appear to be related to painting and lettering. The reporting marks, number, class designation and UP logo are present, but in a distinctly UP sans serif lettering style. The ultimate upper limits of this series are not known at this time.
