SSW 84400-84549

These 89'-0" flat cars were built by Bethlehem Steel Corp. in 5-7/1963. They featured A-3 Ride Control trucks (75 Timken roller bearings; 75 Hyatt roller bearings) and steel decking. They were originally equipped with a mix of bi- and tri-level auto racks.

At least one of these cars sported a W&K rack as per an 8/1998 Railmodel Journal article.
