SSW 33850-33949:
SSW 33850-33949 (to SSW 36000-36013; reblt as hi-cube 12/1965-1/1966)
These 40' box cars were built by PS (Lot 8001A) in 10/1951. They featured 7' doors, 10' inside height and 3782 ft3 capacity.
These cars were very similar to SP's B-50-28 class and were NOT PS-1s.
Several of these cars were rebuilt with extended sides and ends, 10'-6" wide by 11'-9" tall doors for appliance service and 4967 ft3 capacity. They were rebuilt at SSW Pine Bluff Shops between 12/1965 and 1/1966 and re-numbered as above. They were nicknamed the "ugly ducklings" for their awkward appearance.
