SSW 31000-31499 AC&F (Lot #9498) 9/1923 SSW 31500-31999 AC&F (Lot #9727) 5/1924 SSW 32000-32499 Mt. Vernon 3/1924? SSW 32500-33499 Mt. Vernon 1925? to SSW 36000-38499; reblt in 1930s & 1940s; increased interior height to 10'-2". to SSW 46000-46199; reblt in 1936-1937 to all-steel auto box cars Interior height increased to 10'-9" in 1939.
These 40', 40-ton double sheathed, wooden box cars were built as above in 1923-1925. They featured 8'-6" inside height, 6' sliding doors and 2933 ft3 capacity.
