This loco was rebuilt in 3/1981 from GP7 SCL 977 (ex SAL 1797) by SCL Uceta shops. After rebuild, she retained her EMD serial number 15541 but became what SCL referred to as a GP16. She was released in Family Lines paint.

She became SBD 4753.

She became CSXT 1799.

She was retired on 04/30/1992.
