This loco was built in 2/1952 with EMD serial number 15541. She was built as a freight engine. She featured a sealed beam headlight in her front and rear ends. As with all SAL GP7s, she did not feature dynamic brakes.
She became SCL 977.
She was rebuilt into a GP16 by SCL Uceta, FL Shops in 3/1981 and became SCL 4753.
She became SBD 4753.
She became CSXT 1799.
She was retired on 04/30/1992.
