This loco was rebuilt in 5/1980 from GP18 SCL 1064 (ex SAL 408) by SCL Uceta shops. After rebuild, she retained her EMD serial number 26122 but became what SCL referred to as a GP16. She was released in Family Lines paint. She was the second locomotive to wear this number. Her dynamic brakes were removed during her rebuild.

SCL 4621:1 was apparently mis-numbered as-rebuilt and placed with the former GP9's. She was quickly renumbered SCL 4704, but there are photos of her in service with her short-lived number.

She became SBD 4621.

She became CSXT 1721.

She was retired on 06/25/1992.
