This loco was built in 9/1952 with EMD serial number 17393. She was built as a freight engine. She featured a sealed beam headlight in her front and rear ends. As with all SAL GP7s, she did not feature dynamic brakes.
She became SCL 1001.
She was rebuilt into a GP16 by SCL Uceta, FL Shops in 3/1980 and became SCL 4712.
She became SBD 4712.
She became CSXT 1758.
She was retired on 01/13/1993.
