This loco was built in 9/1967 with EMD serial number 33454. She was built as a freight roadswitcher, model GP40.
She became SBD 6811 at the creation of the Seaboard System railroad.
She became CSXT 6811 at the creation of the CSX railroad.
She left the CSXT roster at some point and was rebuilt as a GP40M-2 by MK and sold to the SP as a replacement for recently-wrecked SP 7294:1 as SP 7294:2.
