1983 Trip Page
S&A 750 4-6-2 & FP7's 6138 & 6147 to Hatteuburg, MS. This is the only visit by the smaller S&A 4-6-2 to the Crescent City. She was assisted by a pair of Southern FP7's. I recall that the FP7's were running elephant-style (both facing forward) on the Saturday trip that we rode. I believe the trailing diesel was turned for the Sunday trip. I am assuming that it was done after the train's arrival back at NOUPT between the two trips.
