The following series of photos were taken by my father, Wilton Gautreaux, Jr. during the Saturday trip on November 4, 1972. My family would ride the majority of the trips for the next thirteen years even when the only power availible was the Southern's FP7 covered wagons. Please enjoy these photos. They are a treasure of family memories as well as evidence of the way steam excursions were when they were done right!
