These 40' steel box cars were all built by PS (lot 8327A) in Sep-Nov 1957 as PS-1's. All cars feautured 8' doors and 3882 ft3 capacity. It seems as though the cars were not equipped with load restraint devices as built, and some were later retrofitted with either 9 belt DF-2 (39 cars,) 19 belt DF-2 (37 cars) and 15 belt SL (5 cars.)
