These 40' steel box cars were all built by PS (lot 8001A) in 10/1951. All cars featured 7' doors, 10' inside height and 3782 ft3 capacity. These cars were very similar to SP's B-50-28 class and were NOT PS-1's. Apparently several of these cars were rebuilt with extended sides and ends with taller and wider doors for appliance service. They were done at Pine Bluff between December 1965 and January 1966. They were re-numbered as SSW 36000-36013.
