SP 900480-900579 Flat Cars
SP 900480-900579 blt. as PW 105001-105200
These 89'-4" flats were originally built by AC&F (lot 11-05616) in 9-11/1978 as PW 105001-105200. Many of these 200 cars were sold off during 1980-82. Two groups sold in 1980 are as follows:
PW 105101-105200 to APLX 17001-17050 " " " " MEC 105001-105050
The remaining 100 cars would all be sold to SP in 10-11/1983 as SP 900480-900579. This entire group was sold as MNA 900480-900579 in 1995. It has been suggested that these cars may have been given class designation F-70-89. This would have been unusual for the SP to assign a class to second hand cars, but not unheard of.
