S-70-1 Stock Cars
A roster of the S-70-1 class stock cars is provided as follows:
SP 78000-78001
These 86'-6" double deck stock cars were built by the SP in August 1964 and featured 10,000 ft3 capacity, Hydra Cushion underframes, 3-3-3 Dreadnaught ends and internal load dividing gates. Despite the class designation, they were rated at only 50 tons. The design was not repeated on the SP and the two were off the roster by mid 1974.
