A roster of the S-40-10 class stock cars is provided as follows:

	SP 70770-71119     

These 36'-6" single deck stock cars were all built to the same basic design by Southern Pacific Equipment Co., Sacramento Shops in 1927 and featured 2596 ft3 capacity. It appears that some may have been rebuilt as double deck cars as the April 1963 ORER list 9 cars as double deck at 2535 ft3 capacity as well as 113 single deck cars at 2596 ft3.
