These 50' mechanical refrigerator cars were built by PC&F in 1970. They featured 10'-6" plug doors and 4050 ft3 capacity.

Note that this body style is sometimes referred to as 57', however, the mechanical refrigeration eqipment takes up space on one end of the car leaving a nominal 50' usable inside length for loading.

When rebuilt, repainted and remarked as Golden West Service cars, they were mixed with PFE/SPFE class R-70-20 and -24 cars as VCY 25000-25399.
