H-70-16 Hopper Cars:

These 2-bay, covered hoppers were built by PS (Lot 8346) in 3-4/1957 as above as PS2s. They featured 8 round hatches and 2003 ft3 capacity.

A group of these cars were rebuilt by SP's Houston Car Shops in the late 1970s and re-classed and renumbered as H-70-16R class cars. All retained their 2003 ft3 capacity.
