C-40-4 Cabooses

A roster of the C-40-4 class cabooses is provided as follows:


	SP 1400-1599	(many rebuilt to SP 4000-4129)

These bay window cabooses were all built to the same basic design by Pacific Car & Foundry in 1961. Many of these cars were rebuilt by SP's Sacremento Shops in 1973-75. Tony Thompson notes that not all 130 car numbers were used, only 123 cars were so converted.
