B-70-37 Box Cars:
SP 223000-223999 1-2/1967 SSW 49100-49299 11/1966-??/1967
These 50'-6" box cars were built by FMC-GBEC (Lot 14958) as above. They featured double 8' Youngstown sliding doors and 5200 ft3 capacity. They did NOT feature cushion underframes.
Many of these cars were later rebuilt into B-70-37R class cars.
The yellow door indiciated that the car was assigned to paper service.
The white "R" in the black circle indicated that the car was assigned to crude rubber service.
