SP SW8 page
The SP and T&NO both owned examples of EMD's 800 hp switcher, the SW8. The SP units featured dynamic brakes while the T&NO units did not. Also, the SP purchased four TR6 (cow & calf or A & B) units which were basically SW8's paired with one unit cabless. They were initially drawbar-coupled, but were soon fitted with working couplers at each end and separated.
