This loco was built in 4/1966 with EMD construction number 31573. It was painted in standard for the time bloody nose colors and featured horizontal gyralight mounting on the front and rear as well as number boards ahead of the front stack on the hood in a similar fashion as what would be adopted as standard for the upcoming SW1500 orders.
