This loco was built in 1/1965 with EMD construction number 29636. She was painted in standard for the time bloody nose colors.

She was assigned number SSW 2260 in the 1965 system renumbering.

She was retired by the SP on 12/18/1986 and sold to National Railway Equipment Co. on 06/01/1987. She became WC 1235 in 10/1987.
