This loco was built in 7/1941 with EMD construction number 1323.

She became SPMW 549 in May 1963 for use at the Houston Time Treatment plant in a non-revenue capacity.

She was retired on 09/06/1967 and sold to W. Silver Co. in El Paso, TX on 11/01/1970.

It is presumed that she has been scrapped.
