SP 1000:
This loco was built on 02/07/1939 with EMC serial number 804. She was built as a demonstrator unit.
She was purchased by the SP on 04/01/1939.
She was retired on 12/01/1967 and sold to Holly Sugar Co. as their engine #1 on 01/05/1968. She was initially used at their mill at Santa Ana, CA. She was transferred to their Tracy, CA mill on 03/14/1981.
She was donated to the California State Railroad Museum on 08/2004 and is currently awaiting restoration.
