SP 5308
This unit was built in 5/1951 as the EMD demonstrator SD7 unit EMD 990. The SP purchased the unit in October 1952 after an extensive rebuild to factory SD7 specifications by EMD. She was delivered with dual controls. A steam boiler for passenger service and ash can headlights were applied by the SP shortly after delivery.
