This loco was built in 4/1956 with EMD construction number 21307. It was built with boiler controls, but without a steam generator or water tank for reserve passenger service. This meant that it needed a trailing unit such as an F7B to operate in multiple with to provide steam heat to a passenger train. It also featured dual fuel tanks for dual fuel operation. It was painted in standard for the time "black widow" colors and featured a full 5 light headlight arrangement on each end.
She was wrecked in June 1964 and sold 7/3/1964 to General Electric. She was not assigned a 1965 number.
